ACD Page: Paradise

This forum focuses quite a bit on "must visit" coffeeshops. I feel it's just as important to direct people away from "must not visit" places like this shithole joint called Paradise on Damstraat. A friend of mine bought a gram there and threw it away without smoking it. The weed was that bad. This is another one of the tourist-trap places near Dam Square that educated people stay away from. It's ran by scumbag foreigners who in no way, shape or form deserve to own a coffeeshop in Amsterdam.

If you go there don't say I didn't tell you so!

This place has the nerve to put "the best" on thier sign. I have been to alot of shitholes in my time but this place takes the cake. I do believe that the owners of this coffeeshop are in the same cell as the Patel fucks at free adam. Either way, I agree with you... STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!

there is no need to be racist!!!!!!! it may be a shitty shop with shit staff but there is no need to say it is run by scumbag FOREIGNERS. A few coffeeshops in amsterdam are run by people who are not from holland but just because they have a white face does not make them any less foreigners than the people who have brown faces. u need to sort urself out mate. just by looking at the shop you should know it is a shit hole so i dont see why u went in anyway.

When you emigrate to a country to open a business and treat people like shit that come into your place to spend their hard earned money you are a fucking SCUMBAG FOREIGNER! You're cashing in and exploiting! And there's nothing racist about calling someone a foreigner you idiot. It's just a word to indicate that you're not from the country you're living in. It's not derogatory in any way. Attaching 'scumbag' as a prefix doesn't make it any more racist either. It's saying if you choose to emigrate, you should have some fucking respect for others in your new home. To label my comment as racist is fucking stupid! You probably work for Paradise.

Steady on Obelix! I'm a newbie here too (I see you also only have a few posts - all of which appear to be quite angry/antagonistic) - the last thing on peoples minds here is to get into an argument over racism/xenophobia.

Have a smoke and calm down before labelling other members as idiots. Everyone is entitled to an opinion, maybe when you have calmed down a bit we can have a discussion about which Coffeeshops you prefer to this one and why......rather than badmouthing the ones you hate.

Oh well, I guess calling someone racist without real basis isn't as bad as questioning someone's intelligence for doing so on this forum. I was just trying to do a service and maybe save some poor unknowing tourist a couple of wasted Euros.

This place isn't too bad, the weed was mild though, my mate got the skuff, I took a look at the menu and decided against buying, a little expensive, we bought some tea and sat down.

The seating isn't comfy and it was quite busy, there was a guy in the corner who looked on one in a big way, prolly wacked on shrooms or something, but the staff kept staring at us, so we drank up and left.

Ah Coffeeshop Paradise..
Well, um... it's nothing short of the biggest hell hole in amsterdam.
We went in to chill out and have a drink, we were told that we couldnt stay in unless we got weed in there (which all looked quite sketchy) Then the whole time in there was just a realy awkward tense atmosphere. Just avoid this place.

Fairness requires that I point out that although I've smoked a few joints in here, I've never purchased more than a soda or water and never had a bad attitude from the bar guys. So...they have stopped the purchase weed here to smoke here policy and they weren't rude or nasty. In fact, the budtender was very pleasant even joking that you could never smoke all the weed you buy on vacation. Maybe they have read the poor reviews and are trying to improve. Not that I'm saying I would consider buying weed here. The weed didn't look very appetizing.

I wouldn't buy weed from here if it was the only coffeeshop in town, plus I can think of better places to sit.....everywhere else. Rolling Eyes
