ACD Page: The Other Place

No reviews (other than a couple on the main ACD site) about this rather groovy looking biker / rock c-shop. Anyone on here got anything to say about it? It seems to be just round the corner from where I'm staying in May, and I'm sure I'll check it out - just wondering what the regulars thought.
And of course I'll give it a full rundown on my return.

The web site certainly isn't much help. Confused

If you wanna get a tattoo then it's fine, but it seems impossible to actually be directed to a page about the coffeeshop. Confused

Anyone managed it Question

I went in "the other place" on my first trip to 'Dam last year.
It was somewhat on an american bikers theme, a long bar with plenty of barstools. The kind of place you would expect to find members of ZZtop frequenting. Smile Although when I was there they were just the normal tourist stoners like all the other shops in the RLD.

I dont rate the menu at the Other Place. In my experience there are 2 barmen and the atmosphere largely depends on which is working. Milo, (i think thats his name anyway) from America but lived in the 'Dam for years, is really friendly, funny and full of stories. However the other guy can be really rude. I still love this place to chill and watch the red light district come to life

The Other Place has not had a marijuana dealers license for about a year. Still a smoker friendly bar I'm sure.

It wasn't open last week Sad only the tattoo parlour beneath. Shame - it was one of our fave grunge places to hang out. If it opens again, please let me know!!!

i went there after looking at a menu from web site.

bright orange forum, witch has menus from a/dam and various other places in holland,if any one knows off the site from the vauge discription i gave please cpouild they post a link.as ive been seaching some time for it,for some reason i can find it on a dutch comp way easier than mine.

(next time i`ll write the sites addy down or post it to myself if noone knows.)

reason i ask is that i could deff confirm one way or the other from looking at that site,as it seems strange that it wasnt open last week and its web site has a memorioum on it.yet from its map location its deff the same place and i cant figure out how i could get the menu from one place and go to another shop that sells the exact same product at the same price.
mabye could if it wasnt skuff at such a good rate, and it just doesnt add up that i could get the menu for that shop yet go to another when i was looking for the place.

the place i went was up some stairs (few) had bar stools as you enter and was smallish with the bud tending on the right side.i know thats not a great discription,it was late is all i can think off,but that should make no differance.

deff thank you on the menu, did wade throught numrious pages last night looking for it and only ended up doing a spycheck in the end as i couldnt find it and opening up so many unkown web pages is not my idea off good security practice, thanks again as i was going to look today.

looks like i need to vist the place i did again, witch is easy to do as its just off dam sqaure,i wanted to go again anyway, now i have a reason.
was going to the day i left as that skuff was good, due to time limatations i didnt and ended up at the coin.imo msabye i smoked way too much.
i did do a grm off black hash in before i left, mabye still buzzed or somthing as its not adding up.

imo i wouldnt say its open,as by all it sems it isnt.
well i`ll know next in a week or less.
and deff try to be more sure about what i post as its not right to post wrongly, still sure i went there, mabye it was all a dream.
but by all it seems i didnt.

funny theres a thread just appeared about a coffee shop called the other side, thats where i went.
as soon as i got to dam i thought i needed to clear up wether it was open or not and headed straight for the place i went to,witch is called as said the other side;not the other place as i thought it was.
